Playground fun

We took advantage of these nice fall days to check out some new local playgrounds. Our buddy Max met up with us to play on the Christiansburg Primary playground, which is where the boys will likely go to kindergarten one day (sniff sniff).

Walker's first haircut

Back in mid-October, our sweet Walker finally got his first haircut. As you can tell from the first pic, his curly hair had gotten very long and fuzzy. His haircut makes him look much more mature and helped define his curls. He looks so sweet!

Pumpkin Carving

We had fun carving our pumpkin this year, even if it didn't last until Halloween. The boys definitely took a more active role this year than last. They didn't really like the slimy stuff, but had fun playing inside the pumpkin with their spoons. They also both wanted to help Daddy carve! Such a fun tradition.

Pumpkin Patch

So, I took 800 pictures in October. It was a busy, fun month! At the beginning of the month, we went to the pumpkin patch with our MOMS group. It was lots of fun! The boys enjoyed the haybale maze, hay ride, pumpkin picking, and animal petting.

Visit from friends

At the end of September, my college roommate, Jenny, came to visit from Mississippi with her husband Matthew and sons Asher (3 1/2) and Caleb (16 mths). Caleb is just a few weeks younger than the boys, so they were buddies! I hadn't seen Jenny in over 5 years and hadn't yet met either of her boys. We had a great visit, including a trip to the VT duck pond, dinner and cake for Jenny's birthday, and a trip to Roanoke to meet up with other college friends. We had a great time!
