Adventures in Drywall

Jim has been very productive in getting the drywall up. The ceilings are nearly completed and he has gotten most of the upper pieces on the outer walls hung. It's really starting to come together!

Baby BOYS!!

Well, today was the big day! We had our 20 week ultrasound and found out that we are having two baby boys! They were both very active and healthy, with each weighing around 14 oz. We are so pleased that everything looked great! Here are some pics from the ultrasound:

Insulation & Drywall

This week, Jim completed the insulation in the basement. On Saturday, he and Kristian carried almost all of the drywall around the house from the garage into the basement (thanks, Kristian!). The drywall lift has been assembled and has been a huge help! On Saturday and Sunday, we were able to get the drywall completed on the ceiling in the kitchen and pool table area.

Basement and Living Room mantle

Jim has been very busy during his week off from work this week! We tiled a section of floor in the living room and moved the mantle (without the bulky base) onto it. We mounted our tv above it today. It looks great! Now all we are missing is the gas logs...hopefully the gas company will be out early next week to get everything hooked up for us so we can be toasty by the fire.

In addition to the living room mantle, he also completed all of the plumbing work, finished boxing in all of the ducts and pipes on the ceilings and walls, and built the fireplace for the gas logs. It's definitely coming along!
