Pumpkin Patch

A couple of weekends ago, we took the boys to the pumpkin patch in Riner for the first time. It was a beautiful (although a little hot!) Sunday afternoon. The Staum family went with us and we all had a great time!

Adventures with Cereal

A couple of weeks ago, we gave the boys their first taste of rice cereal. They had mixed reactions to their first time eating with a spoon. Walker was hungry and didn't associate the cereal as being food, so he was a little grumpy. Garrett really liked it! Here are a few pics.

A couple of weeks ago, I went to the grocery store while Jim stayed home with the boys. When I returned, I found new pictures on the camera. Looks like the boys were having fun trying on Daddy's hat!

4 month check up

We took the boys to the doctor today for their 4 month check-up (technically, they are 4 1/2 months now). Everything looks great and I can't believe how much they have grown! Garrett is 14 lbs 9 oz and 25 3/4 inches long. He is in the 25th percentile for weight and 75th for height. Walker is 15 lbs 3 oz and 26 1/4 inches long. He is in the 50th percentile for weight and also 75th for height. They met all of their milestones, and showed the doctor how well they do at pulling themselves up into a sitting position, sitting with assistance, and holding their heads up when laying on their tummies. She gave us some samples of creme for the dry patches of skin that the boys have and wanted to try Zantac for Garrett's reflux. Keeping our fingers crossed that this works! They had to get 3 shots each and one oral vaccine today. They were both very brave :)

We went to a new doctor today at the same practice as before but at a different office (B'burg instead of Radford, much more convenient). We really liked her! While there, we saw another set of twins (brother and sister) that were celebrating their 1st birthday and met another dad who has a twin brother. The staff there was very friendly and everyone came out into the waiting room to see the boys. It's so fun to have twins!

And a special thanks to Auntie Jessica, who came to visit us today. She went straight from the airport to our dr visit and held the boys while they got their shots so I didn't have to be the bad guy. We love you!!
